The independent wealth firm has hired Doug Flaherty and Ricardo Morean for two senior positions.

Bolton Global Capital has recruited two seasoned executives to bolster its leadership team, the group announced Thursday.

The independent broker-dealer and RIA has hired Doug Flaherty as chief growth officer responsible for advisor recruitment and Ricardo Morean as Miami complex manager. Both recruits will start their new roles on March 4.

Flaherty has over 30 years’ industry experience and was most recently at Snowden Lane Partners where he was a managing director for its business in the US Northeast for the past three years.

As well as leading Bolton’s recruitment efforts, Flaherty will oversee new business development opportunities and split his time between the firm’s New York and Miami office, the group said.

Prior to joining Snowden Lane in 2021, Flaherty (pictured) worked at Wells Fargo Advisors for 10 years where he led a 36-person team of international advisors and helped grow the group’s international business across the region.

Bolton’s second recruit, Morean, also has over three decades’ experience and joins from Miami-based family office Gea Capital where he was managing director.

In his new role, Morean will manage Bolton’s Miami office and oversee its network of international advisors based in the region. His career includes leadership roles at Santander Private Bank, Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo and RBC, with Bolton stating that he has a proven track record of growing revenues and assets.

Morean is filling the Miami complex manager role left vacant last month following the departure of his predecessor Michael Averett, who joined Insigneo in the newly created role of chief revenue officer.

‘These strategic hires will play key roles in the continued growth of our firm,’ said Ray Grenier, CEO of Bolton Global Capital. ‘We are delighted to have such top-notch professionals join our leadership team.’
